Koalas are marsupials that dwell on trees and can be found on the coast of eastern Australia. They are 60 to 85 cm (24 to 33 inches) in length, and with a grey body and long leathery nose, this makes it one of the most recocnizable mammals in the wild. These animals are considered vunerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and are in dnager due to destruction of their natural habitat, caused by deforastation or other natural causes such as forest fires.
